Starts with a vision:

Everyone has a Pinterest board of their perfect dream home designs, right?

Well, I have 10 of them. I just can’t help myself. And well, you know how Pinterest is!

But, for years my husband, Andy, and I have talked about what it would be like, to finally settle down in one place after the 20 year military career. To have a real forever home. Those dreams burned strongly in our minds, and in our hearts for years.

And then, with not much more than a vision – we made it happen. You see, we didn’t need much more than that in the beginning, to get started building our dream. Just a dream, with a vision.

THEN came the plan. It started off as a simple blueprint of the vision in our minds; the design, the style, the feel of our dream on paper. Over the next months and year those plans became more detailed, more clear and precise.

But, while we had to follow the plans, cast by the vision- we still had to be open to changes as we ran into obstacles or new discoveries; you know the things that naturally come with building dreams.

And for many many months, our dream just looked like a mess. At times we couldn’t tell what kind of work had actually been done. At other stages we felt like it was constantly changing.

One thing was certain, it was a work in progress.

And we just had to trust the process.

Eventually, over time and tried patience, all the details started to come together right before our eyes. The hardest part was not knowing how all the individual pieces that had been chosen and work that had been done was going to work together.

Again, we just had to trust our judgment, our vision, and believe in our dream.

And, just like building any dream – it is always worth the process!
