Detoxing Naturally

Our bodies eliminate toxins naturally on a daily basis. Cleansing is a simple process: eat nutritious foods that help cleanse your gut, drink an adequate amount of H2O to ensure digestion is flowing smoothly, so it eliminates unwanted waste in your system. You can even take it one step further, and begin cutting out unnatural toxins in your environment. Here are a number of healthy habits you can apply immediately to detox your body naturally.

Consume Anti-inflammatory foods

Our physical well-being, thoughts, metabolism, feelings, and actions derive from the dynamic of your biochemistry, which works distinctly with your genetic coding. These biochemical reactions help prepare the hormones, neurotransmitters, and enzymes to endure daily tasks.

Optimize these biochemical reactions in the body by consuming foods like pineapples, broccoli, seaweed, beets, and matcha green tea.

Pineapples contain an enzyme called bromelain, which cleanses the colon and assists digestion. Add pineapples to a stir-fry, include them in a colorful fruit salad, or eat them as a healthy dessert.

Broccoli has a powerful antioxidant called glutathione. It helps the liver detoxify unwanted fat before bile secretion. Get rid of more unwanted toxins, eat your broccoli!

Seaweed is high in antioxidants—it has a multitude of phytochemicals like fucoxanthin and polyphenols. These potent nutrients possess diuretic elements to heighten your immunity while shedding excess water. Your blood and kidneys will thank you later! There’s nothing quite like the crunch and texture of a seaweed salad.

Beets have a popular reputation as a blood cleanser, due to their production of nitric acid. Whether you drink or eat beets, they provide vitamin E, phenolic acids, carotenes, and betalains, an antioxidant that can generate and repair cells in the liver. For a healthier alternative to pasta, spiralize beets and use them as noodles for your next dish.

Matcha green tea aids fat loss and is a strong anti-carcinogen

Epigallocatechin (EGCG) is an element found in the leaves used to create matcha. Thermogenesis is made and can convert fat into fuel in the bloodstream. Matcha’s detox capabilities are naturally high because of the chlorophyll, which cleanses your body and eradicates toxins from your liver. Drink more hot or cold tea to reap the true benefits of matcha.

Be Aware of Environmental Impact on Body Detoxification  Reduce your environmental impact by consuming more water to remain hydrated. How you perceive and react to your environment directly correlates with the amount of water you drink to keep your mind clear and focused. An innumerable amount of cosmetic products is full of plastic chemicals known as “cones” (dimethicone, silicone, to name a couple). Natural skincare routines and beauty products are a great way to detox your skin, hair, and overall physical appearance.
Be mindful of the makeup, shampoo, soaps and other cosmetics you apply to your skin and hair daily. Your skin requires a deep-pore cleaning/detoxing to remain youthful, healthy, and bright to actively absorb what you apply. The cosmetic industry tends to hide a lot of the harmful toxins in its products. A good rule of thumb is, if you don’t recognize the ingredient, and can’t pronounce the word it’s likely a harmful chemical. Look into plant-based sources, read the ingredient list thoroughly, and use natural, eco-friendly products to uncover the divine beauty of your skin.
In Summary, Body detoxification is a natural daily occurrence we must be mindful of following. Intentional food choices and natural, plant-based, eco-friendly cosmetics will expedite the process, and leave our bodies feeling amazing.
